This project was completed and developed during my internship at Aalborg Zoo in the fall of 2022. Alongside the new visual identity at Aalborg Zoo, several enclosures and especially their signage are being redesigned. This case presents one of such concepts at the Great Green Macaw bird cage. This concept intends to restore and freshen up a previously neglected and worn out enclosure, and turn it into a colorful world of birds.
With a fresh coat of paint, and new colorful signage, the eldest enclosure in Aalborg Zoo will be refurbished and restored. It will also be a better fit for the zoo's new visual identity. The signage will contain more information than previously, and include a playful element for kids where they can compare their "wingspan" with that of the Great Green Macaw.
